    Getting started

Welcome to our GitLab software repository.
This page serves to guide you through the initial device setup and to simplify navigation through our software repository.
Below, you will find setup instructions for your devices as well as software SDK examples categorized by different factors such as device type, programming language, platform, card types, software features, etc.

    IMPORTANT
If you already know your way around our software repository you can access it via direct software repository link.

    Initial setup - installation instruction

Pick your device from the list to jump to the setup section.

    NFC Readers

µFR Series (Nano, Classic CS, Classic, Advance, XL)

Step 1 - Install the appropriate drivers for your operating system. µFR Series NFC Readers use FTDI chips for USB communication. The link from the table below will take you to the FTDI chip driver download page.
Step 2 - Install the latest firmware version (optional). We release frequent firmware updates that add new features to the µFR device. Use the link from the table below to upgrade your device.
Step 3 - Download software examples with SDK. The table below links to software categories.
Step 4 - For software development refer to our API Documentation. Download the link in the table below.

    • µFR Reader tool - Reads device configuration and restores factory settings.
    • NDEF software and tag emulation - Write NDEF messages in NFC tags (URL, SMS, Phone, WiFi, Bluetooth...) and store NDEF messages inside the NFC reader for NFC tag emulation (NFC Reader becomes NFC tag).
    • Keyboard emulation - Reads NFC cards/tags and types card information (Serial number and card content) into selected text field, excel file, etc. Also has an HTTP function for sending card information online.
    • MIFARE programming tool - MIFARE card manipulation. Bulk card programming.
    • Fast Card Read - Lightweight software for reading NFC cards.
    • Async UID sending - Configuration of asynchronous mode on µFR Readers.
